WHY IS TRAINING IN TEAMS COMPULSIVE?
The formation of work equipment, such as lifting platforms, forklifts, etc. Is one of the fundamental tools in the prevention of the occupational risks that derive from the use of the same, but is not only considered as a preventive tool, but as a right of the worker and an obligation on the part of the employer..
In order to argue this obligation we resort to the following legal texts:
LABOR RISK PREVENTION LAW 31/1995
Art.19: Training of workers. . In compliance with the duty of protection, the employer must ensure that each worker receives adequate theoretical and practical training in preventive matters. Training should be specifically focused on the job or role of each worker.
ROYAL DECREE 1215/1997 ON THE USE OF WORK EQUIPMENT:
Art 5. Obligations regarding training and information. . The employer must ensure that workers receive adequate training and information on the risks arising from the use of work equipment, as well as on the prevention and protection measures to be taken. Workers should receive adequate specific training.
The UNE rules are protocols of voluntary application but of absolute reference. They contain technical specifications based on the results of experience and technological development. UNE standards guarantee the levels of quality and security that allow any company to position itself better in the market and are an important source of information for professionals of any economic activity.
At present, there are in Spain 2 STANDARDS UNE reference in the matter of training of specific work teams with which HUNE usually works:
• Standard UNE 58923: 2014. Mobile Elevators of Personnel.
• Standard UNE 58451: 2016. Handling Forklifts.
HUNE is accredited by AENOR and BUREAU VERITAS for the teaching of these courses.
